I am a researcher and whose interests are in hacking nature with synthetic biology. my hope is to use my background in microbial ecology, biomanufacturing, and protein engineering to advance a circular and sustainable bioeconomy, and to explore the relationship between microbial diversity and anthropogenic influence.

I am also an artist, using music and fiber as my medium. my creative influences align with my scientific interests - I am inspired by the ordered chaos of evolution and the natural world.
